How is outsourcing American jobs good for the country?
By admin | July 21, 2010
Libertine Saint asked:
What happens to the security of this nation when we produce nothing. Why have many (not all) conservatives, who promoted buying American products in the 1980’s switched to supporting the outsourcing of American jobs?
We do not really produce anything here anymore. Even Levi’s and Converse are made abroad now.
I can understand how a CEO would prefer to pay lower wages, but how do government policies that allow that CEO to do so help the economy of this wonderful country?

It allows Americans to buy less things at lower prices. It allows people in other countries to earn more money so that they can buy more things produced in America.

Give less power to the Unions and that would not happen. Unions are forcing companies to increase wages, resulting in fewer employees and do not allow for active competition and expansion of companies so that the there is more employment opportunity and wealth for everyone since the company can profit, expand and of course…pay bonuses.
If I’m a CEO and I have a bunch of employees who complain and hold picket signs every time higher wages for them has resulted in me firing former employees AND longer work hours,I’d rather hire the hard working guy who demands less pay from a foreign country.
