My favourite subject
1 Know thoroughly what you are specifying in detail.
2 Check the detail and find what’s missing.
3 Write a a fully specified contract that needs no interpretation or input.
4 Put it out for tender and specify the detail will be monitored
5 Include the cost of daily monitoring in any assumed savings
6 Monitor and charge the vendor double time to correct it
7 Don’t accept any freebies.
